Bet365 Early Payout Offer Details and Top Title Tips
The 2020/21 football season got underway last weekend in England in earnest with the first league matches in the Premier League and Football League played across all four top divisions. Over the next few weeks, the top leagues across Europe that are not already in action, will also start their seasons in what is always a massively busy time for teams and players, and also for football punters too.
It is this time of the year that sees many punters decide to back a team in the To Win Outright market for their chosen league or division and the great news is that for customers at bet365 Sport, there is a fantastic deal on offer for bets placed before the 15th October on selected markets which could well see you paid out your winnings early.
Let’s take a closer look at this deal to see exactly what is on offer.
League Winner Early Payout Offer
Get your bets paid out early if the team you back takes a lead of 10 points or more in their league with bet365.
Applies to bets on the To Win Outright market on selected leagues up to and including the 15th October 2020. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.
What are the details of the Early Payout Offer?
Your bet will qualify for this offer only if it is made on the To Win Outright market for the following football leagues and divisions for the 2020/21 season across Europe:
- Premier League
- The SkyBet Championship
- SkyBet League One
- SkyBet League Two
- Bundesliga (Germany)
- Serie A (Italy)
- La Liga (Spain)
Once your bet is placed (before the 15th October), if the team you select in one of the above markets opens up a lead of 10 points or more at any point during the remainder of the season, then bet365 will pay you out at that moment, rather than waiting until the end of the season for you to receive your winnings.
This is the case even if the team then goes on to lose their 10-point lead and maybe not win their domestic league title (as has happened in the past).
A similar offer was available last season at bet365 Sport and those that backed Liverpool to win the Premier League saw the Reds move 10 points or more clear on the 14th December 2019, which meant that they received their payout very early on!
Why this is a risky bet for bookies!
As most punters know, bookies like to keep the odds in their favour when they can but there is an inherent risk with early payout offers that can come home to bite bookmakers and this memorably happened in the United Kingdom on two occasions, both times to the same bookmaker.
That bookmaker was Mr Fred Done, a massive Manchester United fan, who in 2008, decided to pay out over £500,000 in winnings to customers that had backed the Red Devils to win the Premier League title, due to the fact United had opened up a gap at the top of the table that he felt was unassailable.
However, he was proved wrong and Arsenal snatched the league title by a single point meaning that it proved to be a somewhat expensive mistake from Mr Done.
Incredibly, he did the same thing again in the 2011/12 season when he paid out on Manchester United after they opened up a 5-point lead in the title race. However, rivals Manchester City closed that gap and then defeated QPR in sensational style on the final day to pip United to the title on goal difference, once again costing Mr Done a significant loss.
This shows why these offers are good news for punters as not only can they win their bet early, but sometimes they can claim a win, even if their selection does not actually go on to win the division come the end of the season.
Which teams could offer me a chance of an early payout as per the terms of the offer?
As we already know, last season, Liverpool triggered an early payout for punters that backed them with bet365 Sport as they went 10 or more points clear in mid-December, but it is actually pretty rare for a team to open up a huge gap at the top of the table.
But having said that, are there any teams across the seven leagues that are included in the bet365 offer that may well offer you a chance of an early payout?
I have to be honest and say that I don’t think there will be an early payout for any of the four English leagues. In the Premier League, although I backed Manchester City to win the league in my article last week, I can’t see them running away with the title like Liverpool did last season.
Similarly, there are no outstanding teams in the Championship, League One or League Two that I feel have an obvious chance of opening up such a huge gap on the chasing pack. In truth, the bottom two leagues in England are often very closely contested and there is often only ever a point or two between the teams at the top of the table and their closest contenders.
So if I am ruling out the four English divisions, what hope do I have in Europe? Well I feel Spain could also be problematic because while Barcelona and/or Real Madrid tend to win the league at a canter in Spain, they tend not to open up big gaps on each other and I think that could well be the case in La Liga next season.
However, I do feel there is hope in the other leagues. In Italy, Juventus have been the Serie A champions for many seasons in a row now and they look well set to make a real challenge at it again and after a slightly below par season last time, I feel they may be looking to improve on that this year and they could potentially open up a large gap.
The best bets for this though for me are German Champions and European Champions Bayern Munich in Germany who are a cut above all the teams in the Bundesliga and who are in such an amazing run of form that it is hard to see the likes of Dortmund or Red Bull Salzburg making much of an in-road into their dominance. As such, if you want to back a team with this offer in mind, Bayern would be my pick, although at 1/7 to win the Bundesliga, they are not going to pay you out a massive amount!
