Jeopardy! Slot Review

The clever people at IGT are well known for producing high quality slots based on film and television shows and Jeopardy! is one such creation. Based on the hugely popular American quiz show, where the contestants have to provide the questions for the answers across a number of different categories,  this 5×4 reel slot features Alex Trebek as well as a number of his assistants to help bring the game to life and is available to play now at Bet365 Games.

The slot boasts 40 paylines in play and you can spin from as little as £0.60 up to a maximum of £60 per spin, with the maximum base game jackpot of 2000 coins. The symbols on the reels include a number of low paying prize symbols and the characters from the show are the higher value symbols. The Jeopardy Logo acts as the in game Wild and when it lands on a reel it can scroll downwards turning all symbols below it wild as part of the Wild Rush feature.

Jeopardy is a fun, fast and enjoyable slot to play but it does suffer from a few small niggles at times. Most base game wins are generally very small, often just a fraction of your wager and this can make the slot play very tight at times and explains why the RTP percentage drifts from 92.8 to 96.4% in play. There’s certainly enough to keep you spinning the reels on the Jeopardy slot, but you get the feeling that perhaps IGT could have done just a little bit more.

Jeopardy Slot Bonus Feature

The bonus feature is triggered when you land two of the bonus symbols on the reel, which brings up a game very similar to the gameshow board. Here you can make a number of selections which gives you a number of free spins, a multiplier, plus a symbol which will act as a wild during free spins. Trigger the Daily Double in any selection and you can award yourself an extra pick to earn additional free spins.

Rather disappointingly, this is the only bonus feature in the game and means that when you have received your bonus, the Free Spins round starts and then once you receive your cash prize, you are back in the base game. It would have been nice for IGT to have included a couple of extra bonus features, such as those you find in the Deal or No Deal slot, which allows you to play a round of the game. There’s no such bonus available in Jeopardy sadly.

Editor's Review

Jeopardy is a hugely popular gameshow in America and this slot is faithful to many aspects of the show, but thereis a slight feeling of it could have been so much more. The 5×4 format and 40 paylines do make it somewhat difficult to spot wins at times. That is offset by some imaginative use of the featurs, including the Bonus Board game which is arguably the aspect of the slot most closest to the gameshow itself. Jeopardy is fun to play, but can get a little repetitive at times.
